My case was very similar in last November, I did call them many times...but same old answer. but in last month they told me they did not work on my case because my fiinger prints were expired. they expire every 15 months, and without valid FP , case even will not pass standard "filter" criteria, and they don't consider it "ready to approve"
Looks like you sent your 485 on Jul 2007, assume your first FP was done before Aug 2007? if yes, it's expired. By any chance, did you do your 2nd FP?

Hello, I am trying to get all the sponsor documents together for my parents visitor visa stamping. I am having some problems getting a bank account verification letter. I have a checking account with a bank in Indiana (I used to stay there 2 years back) which I still use regularly. Most of my transactions are performed by internet banking and my pay checks are deposited directly into this bank account by my company. I have requested them to send a verification letter for which they replied in negative as they can do that if only I can be present in person and not over the phone. My current account balance in this account is around $12,000 and I have bank statements for each month going back to Feb' 2007. Can someone let me know hpw to deal with this situation ( I would really hate to drive/fly 700 miles to just get a bank letter).
I also have a problem with other bank deposit I have. It is a exclusively online HSBC savings account and I have $12,000 in this account with statements going back to July 2007. These are all good suggestions and translate well from my film days. I also read that, whereas in b&w the adage was expose for the shadows and develop (or print) for highlights, in digital it is the reverse - expose to preserve detail in the highlights and then use your curves in RAW to fix the shadows where you want them. So I'll have to put all that to work this week / weekend. If the flowers stay around, that is.

ok. let's say I-140 approved and pass 180 days. the person is working using ac21 and ead with a new company. the person is travelling using AP , the old company withdraw I-140, will he be able to come back in the us ?
once the person is working for the new company can he send the offer letter to avoid problem with 485. kinda of preemption - proactive approach or does the person needs to wait until ins request?

US Citizenship is valuable. Never ever think of cancelling it any time. There are plenty of jobs available in USA for skilled programmers. Only thing is patience and perseverence in your job hunt.I do not want to comment your removal of job as there might be multiple reasons not necessarily skill. There are some jobs which require US Citizenship those will have less compettion. Also you need train yourself for the skills which are hot in the market. Job hunting is always challenging even if you have excellent skills and market is good.
In India also US citizenship is valuable as employers will give some preference as you can travel USA and some other countries easily.

My Attorney sent my I-485 on July 2 to TSC
my labor approved from Wisconsin
but I read somewhere all applications needs to go to NSC , is it true?

Hi,
My current EAD will expire in September 2008. It is applied through Company A. I want to change my employer in July to Company B. But I would think during
that time frame I would have already applied for my EAD renewal.
Can I transfer to Company B during this renewal process?

I do not beleive that EAD is company specific, it is yours like a green card, they will not ask anything whilre renewing green card.

According to USCIS Ombudsman 1/3rd of cases are pending more than 1 year due to namecheck. Also there are many cases stuck for more than 3 years. E
I think that 1/3 of PENDING cases have been stuck for more than one year, not 1/3 of all cases. Trust me if 1/3 of all cases were stuck for more than one year, there would be a huge outcry

In fact, if you present the new approval at the time of re-entry the officer can give you a I-94 with an expiry date that is the same as the expiry of the new approval !!
3. Also if I decide to travel on my current H4 visa, since I only have 4-5 months left before it expires, will US immigration pose any problems when I re-enter in US?

Some one entered into US legally in 2001, slogged(ing) 8 or more years for GC...so 2009..then 5 more years for citizen ship so 2014....with this news it looks like they need to keep up the paper work and employer contacts for 12 years, as well the family need to realize that their stay in US is temporary ???

How certain are you about this statement. If infact your statement is true, all USCIS has to do is issue a clarification or memo on this matter saying if I140 is revoked H1b holders become out of status if they don�t leave the US in a certain time. That would be disastrous. In big companies (like multi national companies) if an employee leaves the company or is laid off I believe it is standard practice to revoke I140. They do that in my company. My company is no desi company it is a multi national company with more than 70000 employees.
I have seen a lot of discussions on the status of H1 extension, if I140 is revoked or if employee changes company and nobody knows the answer. Can somebody who has some knowledge of this issue chime in.
All the more reason to push for the 485 measure.

I came to US on h1b visa in Feb 2007.... after joining my first job my employer applied for a change in LCA because of the new salary(which is less than the original)... USCIS replied to that amendment after 16 months with an RFE... My comapany responded to that RFE and after that they got a reply from the USCIS that the H1b amendment is denied....
My employer told me that I have to leave USA with in the next 2 weeks. But my h1b is valid up to sep 2009.

agree.. 90 days is too much.. esp when just dates need to be extended.. In the first place.. it should be non-expiring .. something like valid with I-485 Receipt... and then when accepting EAD employer can check the I-485 status that its still pending... and any change will send email to the employer about 485 current status...
But then my dear.. where's the money...
Guess people can't even take PUN any more... Got negative and abusive remarks for this.. atleast have guts/courtesy to leave name/handle...
