Why the lawyer need some information from your wife ? ( she no need to apply any thing , since your GC is approved ).
I think best way to tralk to HR dept in your wifes company and explain them. that you will get GC soon. If they need some proof show them approval email .
If they ask to fill i9 form show the EAD as proof for employment eligibility.
New company lawer is not accepting EAD, even though we don't have written approval confiramtion
How to conivince him to use EAD unti we got the phisical card?

Here is what I understand, but make sure you seek professional opinion before making any move.
He can simply submit another I-485 as the derivative of your application. Of course that can only happen when your PD becomes current. He does not have to withdraw his own application. If he gets GC as your derivative, his other I-485 will automatically become invalid.
Sending a new 485 as derivative means new fee too. RFE suggests that case is active in some way. Therefore, there is no harm in sending a second letter about the relationship, including marriage certificates etc, with A# and Receipt # references of both (these are the only two references in their system, PD's are only on paper). Best..

Yes, I can profess a guess, but that does not account for the statement about "A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September"

These applications are probably trickling in during the course of the year, and may have seen a huge rush when they announced that they are going to make EB3 unavailable. This is how they could have replied. They should have started a 10 Rs. Education cess on every McDonald burger sold and every Pepsi/Coke bottle sold and every pizza sold by pizza hut & Dominos. The Indian govt is suing Vodafone for acquiring Orange and Kraft for acquiring Cadbury insisting that these companies should have done a tax deduction at source when buying these companies. Meaning that if Kraft bought Cadbury for $100mill, they should have paid only $70 mill and sent the $30 mill check to the govt.
Look it up, and you'll realize that any government in the world will shake anyone down for some extra money, not because it's right but BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!

Administrators, I am sure the question from "bluekayal" was an innocent one.
Honestly, I believe in IV as an organization which does not differentiate race, gender, country, category etc.
I am well aware that there are lot of ladies who are well represented in IV Core and its initiatives. I understand very well, how much they contribute when they volunteer for IV activities, especially after everything that a woman does with juggling time between family and work.
Also I am sure others will understand that there are more advisors who are not men, but they probably would not have agreed to present themselves yet, publicly as part of the board for ImmigrationVoice.
Again, hats off to all your efforts & no need to remove the hats to scratch your head...;)

IV core team itself is not active these day.
Some people started a group, created a web site, featured on several news shows and have been flying miles to meet with powers that be. Some other people just joined the group by logging in from their website and all they can do is say that the first group as been inactive. Thats funny.

I have EB2 i-140 approved with PD Dec. 05. I am planning to change the employer.. was just waiting to see if CIR gonna help.. but looks like its not. If I change job now, I will have to do labor, i140 once again!! might be able to maintain PD. .. my question is... I believe that in Octo. 06, new quota for GC will be available. What are the guesses that the PD will become current (at least for Eb2 India) in Octo 06?? Some educated guesses are highly appreciated.
The answer to your first question is yes. You can change employers without any impact, by using AC 21 provisions.
Regarding the second question: EB2 India is going to take a long time to come to 2005 PD. I would say, atleast another three years.

Hello everyone,
Here is my status..someone please clarify as my immigration attorney has different answers each time
1) I am on H1B status and recently transfered to a new H1B Employer and i got query last week.
2) My Husband is holding a L1B Visa and its valid till Nov 2011.
3) Can i apply for L2 now(without COS) while waiting for H1B Approval?? This will allow me to change to L2 if something happens to H1.
4) If i have my H1B approval i wish to stay and work on H1B.if not i will be moving to L2(leave the country and comeback ??)
Please post your prompt answers.
