There seems to be a lot of confusion between morality and reality in this thread. Let me give a real life experience as example and comparison....

My point is that each of us can take steps to protect ourselves. Will taking these steps guarantee our safety, no, but they can certainly minimize risk.

What proportion of iPhone users do you think understand what a cache is? How about what cell tower triangulation is? How about the Core Location framework? Most people don't understand the finer points of how their phone works. The vast majority don't care and just want it to work and not do anything nefarious. As phones get smarter, there are only going to be more things that people don't understand - I think he makes a fair point.

I have a couple of thoughts here:
1) Apple developers are forgetting about their own UI guidelines. Rather than using a button like "Upgrade" or "Open MobileMe Preferences", they use the generic OK label that could mean anything.
2) They are being lazy during development, and the wording will be changed before the official release.

I'm getting a new receiver for my living room that supports 5.1, but I've tried hooking up my MBP to my friend's receiver, but it only output 2 channels. The problem may have been the fact that I was using analog audio out. If I use a digital mini to Toslink cable to connect it, should I be able to get 5.1 audio out? I looked in the archives, but didn't find an answer.

I'm looking for a recipe box app where I can add my own recipes, delete the ones that come pre-installed and preferably has a shopping list. A clean UI is a huge plus. Can anyone recommend one? The apps I've found so far haven't been what I am looking for.

But anyway, this is in no way illegal. I would know, being a student of law. In addition, eBay AND PayPal have sided with me on this matter MULTIPLE times. The only time PayPal sided with the buyer was when they claimed they never got it and I had no shipping proof. The item is accurately described, end of story. Stop crying about it and be more responsible.
Just an ending note, I've made over $2,000 doing this before and used it to buy two amazing Les Pauls. ;)

The definition of fraud is: To make someone else believe something that is not true, and to make them hand over their property because of this wrong believe. You made someone believe that they were bidding for an iPhone and to hand over money, when this was not true. Fraud.
Which means if anyone follows through with criminal action against you, your dream of ever being a lawyer is over. Good strategy giving up a lucrative career for $2,000 in scammed monies.

I think he's right to be billing where he's at, but you are right that he should drop a mean client. At this level, you can find a lot of people to do work for, and can pick the nice ones.

I think people are in contracts and don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get out of them. Also people know that a new iphone is rumored to be out in the Summer/Fall so why buy an old model.

Both from fleaBay at way less than the OWC prices. The 2 port will run 2x 2.5 inch drives to become the main HD for the G4 and possibly its time machine backup. The 4 port will look after my itunes, photos etc and general backup duties.
I post some pix once it looks different from stock with a load of drives whirring away :D

Those Sonnet SATA cards are also made by FirmTek for Sonnet. My 2 port card is exactly the same but has a red PCB and says FirmTech rather than Sonnet. This one:
